"It's a girl thing"

Products Used~ House Mouse Stamp, CTMH CS, Silhouette Papers, Chip Board Tag, Black, Heavenly Blue  Ink,  Liquid Glass, Misc. flowers, buttons, ripple scissors, Copic Markers

I still have fun using these stamps from  House Mouse  I  love making cards,  I usually set them out at home for a while, than i put them in a plastic storage  container, and there they sit till i need to mail one out. Well, I have  decided to send them out to some of my blogging  friends.  It thrills me when i get a handmade card from a  cyber friend.... knowing we may never meet  face to face but they thought of me and sent me a  handmade card.
I just want to say Thank You for visiting my blog, and  for the cards i have received over the last 2 years of blogging! I do keep them and display them from time to time. They make me smile!

Anyhoo, the kids have homework to do, plus Pinewood Derby Races are Saturday the 6th. Charlie & the boys have to clear coat their cars and do some last minute  final touches. oh and add the wheels. :)
That's about it for me, Thanks for  stopping by! Hope you had a great weekend!
Oh, and I will update from time to time about my up coming missions trip. Things are moving right along.  : )

Blessings!!

Dog day afternoon

I love, love, love  this photo! I had my gbabies last Thursday-Friday for a few hours. The sun was shinning in so warmly i kept the front door open. {about 24- 27* outside} Cailyn (2) decides to laydown next to Toby and look out. It's rarely she sits still for anything. She's always on the go, but she enjoys playing with him.
I'm hoping to get into my Korner and do some scrapbooking. I need to upload some photos.... It's been a busy week.
Thanks for stopping by!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!!

The Gals

Products Used,  CTMH CS, Veranda Papers, Barn Red, The gals {American Art Stamp} Hanna Stamps {sentiment} Brads, Black Ink, Black Ribbon, Ripple Scissors,  Liquid Glass. Copic Markers

These two ladies crack me up. They had a night out again. hahaha.  Sam wanted to make a card with me yesterday, and  this stamp was sitting on my shelf screaming... ink me, ink me. :) The task after that was finding the right sentiment stamp. I thought this one would work..... I made two other cards a while back... He's Hot  & Happy Hour. using the same image. hehehehe  they are fun!!
Ladies,Thank you so much for  your love and support!!!! on my previous post about my up coming  missions trip. The countdown has begun. :)  I have added a countdown widget on my sidebar. I'm so excited!!
I am still getting things in order. I have appointments on Monday and Tuesday  to get the shots i need {3 plus 2 bonus shots so i don't get sick  on the water or food} to complete my Travel Release Forms, including a booster Polio shot. Which i need to put a date down. I never filed for my passport last week so i need to do that this coming week. I heard it takes 6 weeks to process.
No one has any records of the shots i received as a child. In the 60's they gave you your  shots in the schools. I don't have any records of that...

Anyhoo, lots to do today.  I best get moving. Thanks again for  stoppin by! I hope you enjoy the card. I laughed out loud putting it together. {do you ever do that?}  my husband did laugh when i showed it to him.  He said i should have stamped it... "a total waste of a makeover" hahaha...  couldn't do that.

Have a great weekend!
Hugs!!

My Shout

Ok friends, now that i have most of my ducks in a row. {I was accepted, received my birth certificate in the mail last week, apply for my pass port this week} now i can tell you my exciting news.
A different kind of Shout......
I'm going on a Missions Trip to Baja Mexico this July with the Newsboys.{ I love their music!!} I'm so excited. I  know in my heart and soul this is what God wants me to do. Below is  my  missions support letter {edited} i recently sent out to my local  friends & family. It explains the reason I felt called to go.
I'm not sure if some of you will be offended  as to my support letter being  posted here. If this does not interest you, that's fine. I'm not offended at all. But "Thank You" for taking the time to read it. Your prayers are always welcomed!!
Have a Blessed Day!

Dear Family and Friends,

I trust you are all doing well.
As you may well know, God moves us in unique ways. Last April, I lost a very dear friend to suicide. Even though I had not seen her in a few years, she had still left an impact on my life. Charlie and I had tickets to a Newsboys Concert, for May 3, 2009 we gave our tickets away as her funeral was that very same day. I could not imagine going to a concert that day. Her life meant more to me.

Just recently,{a few weeks ago} after watching a Newsboy’s Outreach Video, I felt called to apply for this Mission’s Trip through Global Expeditions, {as a tribute to my friends memory}
I didn’t meet the current age requirements, {13-30} however, when God calls, He also  opens doors. Miraculously, I was accepted. Without even saying a word about my friends death.
I will be serving as a missionary with an organization called Global Expeditions, a part of Teen Mania Ministries. We will be working alongside the “Newsboys” in building homes for the poor in Baja, Mexico. For more than 15 years, GE has taken thousands of teenagers to countries all over the world. Global Expeditions is a ministry totally dedicated to reaching others for Christ and equipping us to touch the world through Missions. I cannot think of a better way to spend my time than sharing the Gospel and seeing my life changed as well.
My team will be based out of the city of Baja. I will be leaving on July 17th, 2010 and returning home on July 24th. I will be busy helping to build homes and ministering through drama and street evangelism.
My total cost for this trip is approximately $716.00 plus my airfare, I cannot accomplish this task alone, so I am asking you to be part of this mission trip with me. During the next several months, I will be working to raise the finances to go. Please diligently support me in prayer, and if God places it upon your heart, would you support me financially. My first expense deadline is June 13th when half of my budget is due to my account.
If you would like to support me in this opportunity you can go to Teen Mania Ministries....Global Expeditions website (http://www.globalexpeditions.com/), clicking on the Donate tab and entering my ID# 2597xxxx.

If you have any questions,  please e mail me at kariberry97@yahoo.com
You can also reach Global Expeditions at their Missions Supporter Hotline at (866) 5.GLOBEX

Thank you, God Bless You!

"All U need is Love"....

or is it. "Love is all you need"? The Beatles was the furthest thing  from my mind when i bought this stamp from Hobby Lobby.  I just liked it! It's funny how  a {"gotta have it stamp"} can sit on a shelf for months or longer before it ever sees ink.... I have a lot of those.  LOL  There is a  time for everything!

Products Used~ CTMH CS { White Daisy, Sorbet, Cream Brulee},Black ink,  Cuttlebug Folder~ Script Texture, Misc. Stamp, Flower, Ribbon, Button, Copic Marker.
Remember my "Differrent kind of Shout" I wanted to tell you about in a previous post? Well, this week I'm going to break my silence. So hang around if you want.  :)  Like I said... this is something I'm very passionate & excited about, and i can't want to share it with my readers/friends. Till then, thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!!

Hugs & Blessings!!

Valentine's Day.... Part 2

I hope you all had a fun Valentine's Day!
This pic was taken at the restaurant we ate at....We had a blast yesterday! Although it was Valentine's Day, I think it was one of the best ones I've had in a while. The fellowship/dinner with friends was a blast. Oh and Tim Hawkins show was a hoot! He is sooo funny. For clean humor a person  might ask.... How can a Christian  Comedian be funny without having to swear? {as someone asked a friend who posted on FB} He just is!! God has given him a gift to make people laugh, and that he does!! :)  Here is a little video clip from last nights show. I used my little point & shoot camera. I think it turned out ok. You may have to turn up the volume. We did pick up the dvd's last night.

Doesn't seem like a Monday with everyone home. We're taking the boys  swiming tonight at the High School. Maybe sledding later today. They'll love that!
Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hey, how are you doing? Sorry I don't have anything creative to post. It's just been a busy week for me. I apologize I've missed visiting your blogs  most of  this past week. I've also been  getting my ducks in a row, sota speak.  :)
What kind of plans do you have for Valentines Day? dinner/movie??  Were going with a bunch of friends to see Tim Hawkins tomorrow evening, leaving at 2pm~ 2 hour road trip, dinner and then the show. You can see him here  here and  here  He is sooo funny. My kids love to watch him. They were a little upset when we told them we were going. But  we're hoping to pick up his latest dvd so the boys can see it too. It's clean comedy.
Anyhoo, this past week we have gotten 11" of snow. (no snow day for the kids)  I hear DC has nearly 5' of  the fluffy stuff.... Where do they put it all? Oh wait, they had to shut down the city for a week. Oh my.

Here are a few pics of what we got this last week.

 Took these this morning.

Toby's favorite spot. "King of the hill". He begs me to go outside and this is where i find him.  I'm hoping he won't jump the fence, if he sees something more appealing on the other side.
Well my friends, I've got a lot to do today. It's a 3 day weekend here for Charlie & the boys. With Monday being Presidents Day. Charlie even has off. (new contract) and no school for the kids. I think I'll take a day off as well... not!
Thanks for stopping by. You're the best!!
Hugs!!

I've seen this SS used quite a bit on other blogs. {what a fun stampset} I thought i would give it a  try.  Excuse the leaning lamp. :) I tried putting flowers, or making  a stack of books on the endtable but it didn't turn out to well, so i scrapped that idea. {for now}
Hope you're all having a great weekend. Not much happening here,  just getting ready for church this morning.
Are you watching the Super Bowl? Peeps i talk to, want the Saints to win. I have no preference. But they have never been to the Super Bowl.

Double Digits

Products Used~ CTMH CS,  Paper Kit...Building Blocks, School Zone, Ribbon, Cricut Cartridge Plantin Schoolbooks, Graphically Speaking, Star Punch.  Foam Numbers, Bracket Punch, Sewing Machine

Playing catch up. This is Sams Birthday from December. I had him hold up 10 fingers
8 fingers - 2 thumbs, hahaha   And holding his Nerf gun he wanted for his BD. I have pics of his Bakugan cake and gift opening but haven't done the second page yet.
My boys are sooo different. They sleep in the same room, beds side by side. They go to bed at 8pm on school nights. They talk till they pass out.
Sam  is very strong willed. He'll argue with me and try to get his own way.  Samuel means... Heard by God.... and everyone else hahaha
Micah {8} means... Prophet of Peace....  The day he was born the nurse dropped my tray of food in my room and Micah didn't budge.  He's  sooo easy going. Loves to please.  He always says please and thank you,  wants to help me around the house. Esp. unloading the dishwasher. He'll carry in  the groceries, hold doors open for me. He'll wait till we're seated  so we can  pray and give thanks for our food.
Sam has to be asked to do things. Funny, there brothers, but yet so different. They both love snuggles and kisses, but not around their friends {sam}. My boys are growing up so fast. One day they'll be on there own. I wonder if they'll remember to brush their teeth without being told. Makes me wonder. I'm proud to say they have never had a cavity. : D  We must be doing something right. :)  I love them to pieces!!
Sam has a friend sleeping over tonight. Charlie's going to a "No Regrets" Mens Conference  tomorrow. I'll just be hangin out here.

Have a great weekend and Thanks for stoppin by!
Hugs!!

With Valentines Day coming up I thought this would be perfect. Sorry the lighting is so bad again. I'm still working on that.  Recently I starting taking shots of my cards and pages on top of my desk. I might have to try a Flood Light next time and see if that will help.. LOL.
Not a whole lot going on here. But in a few weeks  I may have a different kind of "Shout"  that I'm very excited about. I want to make sure all my ducks are in a row before I say anymore.
Anyhoo, Playtime is over for me today. I've got a mess in my Korner, laundry, and a house to clean. Don't cha just love Monday's? Thanks for stoppin by!!
