Duh....

I could not think up a title for this card. I've made this one before using this image. I drew a blank. Oh well
With Charlie having 4 days off i thought i would get more scrapping time. But it didn't happen. We are potty training our puppy. That's going well for the 1st week.
We're waiting on 6-10" of snow by tomorrow morning. They're saying the heavier snow would come during the night. My kids are hoping for a snow day, i don't think it's gonna happen. :)

I used CTMH Boom-Di-Ada Papers w/ Stickease, Ribbon, added Buttercup CS for base. SU Photo Corner Punch. Copics, Stamped Image is from American Art Stamp If you haven't seen this Stamp Line you're in for a treat. Check it out. They are LOL funny.
Well that's about all i have for now. You all have a great week! Thanks for poppin in!

Just an Update...

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! We did too! :) My dad & his wife came to our house for dinner yesterday. {Charlie cooks the turkey every year, Yeah Baby!} It was so nice to see them. I haven't seen my dad since Fathers Day. My dad will be 82 this December. {Maxine is 73} He doesn't remember current conversations anymore. He can't remember things he said 5 minutes ago. But he can tell you about his childhood memories.
When i see him i try to get as many pictures as i can.
After dinner we all went out to my sisters trailer for desert. My 2 brothers, niece and nephew and their kids were their. It was nice to see everyone again.
We usually do Christmas in July every summer with the whole family, but we didn't do it this summer. My oldest brother left his wife after 35 years of marriage this past January for another women {sucks} and it just didn't seem the same without him and his family. But life has to go on and we will continue "Our Family Tradition" again. In hopes that my sister in law and kids will join us.
Anywoo
We are just lovin our new puppy Toby. He has adjusted so well to his new home with us. He barks in his kennel and at the back door when he has to go outside. Don't get me wrong he will squat in the house if he has to go. But training is going very well. He sleeps at night sometimes for 5 hours. He was up this moring at 4:00 barking and wanting to eat. Good Lord.. LOL
I'm sure he misses his brothers & sister. He plays so hard and loves to bite. His teeth are razor sharp. I was reading in a training book that puppies are like babies. When puppies play & explore their world they do it with their teeth, whereas babies have to touch everything. What it said was, when the pup gets a hold of you, or your clothers... {Whine like a puppy} and he will stop dead in there tracks and look at you. Yep it works. The book also said that when puppies play with there brothers & sisters they bite them, and a way of letting them know it hurts is to whine. Sooo we have been whining a lot... I know it sounds lame. I haven't raised a puppy in over 20 years. My other dogs were given to me. A Yorkie and 2 Cockers. I haven't had a dog in 8 years so this is a learning curve as well as a great Joy! He is so fun! Ok i don't mean to bore you. :)
Today is Black Friday?!? Charlie is getting 4 New Tires for his car today. Yippee
Well i better start my day. Have a woderful long weekend! Thanks for stoppin!

Our New Family Member...

Toby Mac. We just got him yesterday. My boys have been asking for a pet for the longest time. Yesterday was the day! :) He's an American Cocker, 6 weeks old. He was born October 8, 2008. He's a fluffy ball of fun. I have no idea what he weighs. He doesn't even set off the scale. For now we have him an a cardboard box with a blanket & newspaper and ticking clock. {hubby's idea} He was up every 2 hours last nite. Up at 10pm 11pm 1:00am 3;00am & 4... Breakfast at 6:30. Good Lord it's like having a new baby in the house. LOL I didn't get much sleep. My hubby got up at 4am this morning to take him outside. Charlie says he likes him.
I have to take Toby to the vet within the next 3 days and have him checked out. The Breeder recommends that. ... And Yes he is named after a well know Christian Singer "TobyMac". We loved the name Toby, and registered names for dogs on paper have to have 3 names, so his registered name is "Sir Toby Mac" This is our Christmas Present a month early. We love him!!
Thanks for stopping & Thanks for letting me share our JOY!

We were getting ready to leave with Toby.

I think he liked his bath. Except he kept trying to clime out of the tub. LOL He even has that cute puppy breath.

Christmas Card

I sure hope we have a White Christmas! I Know, lets get through Thanksgiving first.
This card was inspired from a Christmas card i received last year. I loved her idea of using the wire.... 28 gauge ~ gold.
All CTMH products except the wire & ribbon. Stamp Sets... Christmas Melodies, January Word Puzzle, Crimper, Prisma Glitter, Embossing Powders, Silver Pearl & White, Foam Dots.

All is well on the home front. I have the day off today. My daughter stayed home with her sick girls. They both have colds. Charlie is busy working everyday. Still long hours.
There is an Electrical Power House job in our town that could be 2 years of work. We are praying he will get it when it starts up here in maybe 6 months {depending on permits}
We just had the gutter guy come back on Tuesday to hang a few downspouts we were ready for. For those of you who have not been keeping up on our Home Progress this last summer {see labels on side bar} We have come a long way from what our house looked like. We are siding it. I'll try and post pictures. But i need a son shinny day. Kinda cloudy today. Well i have some errands to run. I'm very much enjoying the peace & quiet today. I got to play too which is always fun & relaxing for me. You all have a great day!! Thanks for stopping!!

Autumn Greetings

Aren't these cute!?!  I was fooling around with my new Cricut Expressions the other day. What a fun toy. This tag inspiration came from trying to make some wall decor for my scrap room using these tags. { 5 3/4 x 3 3/4 Cricut Cartridge Plantin SchoolBook} After i had them sitting on my scrap table for the last week i thought it would be cute to make them into cards and stamp images on them. Stamps are from Whipper Snapper. I used Copics to color them .
I'm wondering if there is a way to Cricut cut them on a fold so the tag would open like a card. Hmmm. Worth a try. I was thinking of sending these out to friends. Just to say Hi.
Hey did ya watch the Packer game today? Probably not huh. Packers won 37-3 against the Chicago Bears. Yippee.... They needed this win against the Bears! Packers have lost to them the last few games.
After the game Sam and I went for a brisk walk. It's getting cold out in WI. Brrr Winter is coming.
Well that's about all i have. Hope you all had a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!!

Happy Fall

It's my favorite time of the year. I know i have said that before but i just love the cool days and the brisk cool nights. Just before winter comes in. It's my favorite time to go for a walk.
I think i found a new stamp collection.. No thanks to Laurel. LOL She is such an inspiration to me. I love her work! She makes some really cute cards from Whipper Snapper Stamps. I was browsing their site the other day and came across this image and just loved it! I have to say that shipping was incredible. They must have shipped this stamp over night because it got here so fast.
Anyway about the card, I used my Copic Markers to color it in. {CTMH DP~ Perfect Day Papers} on a 6x6 base, Sunflower mat. Flowers are from Michael's {Daisy Doodles} Brads, Twine.

I went for a Health Life Line Screening today. It's health carer prevention. They do blood test and ultra sounds, EKG to make sure there are no blockages anywhere. I'll get the test results back in 3 weeks or so.
My mother passed away at 58. I just want to be sure I'm OK and taking care of myself. I've got little ones to raise. I know i need to be walking daily. But hey it's Fall, I will get out there! :) You all have a Wonderful Evening & Happy Friday!
Thanks for stopping by!

Hello There

This is the page we did for my CTMH gathering i had Saturday. There were 7 ladies out of 26 invites. Thanks Jody & Rosemary for a fun afternoon. We need to do it again. I'll have it here next time. :)
We had a good time, and for a few of the ladies this was there first time to heat emboss with embossing powder and a heat gun. Which is what they wanted to learn to do. Very simple. We embossed the 3 little images on the right center of the page. {Stampset... Winter Play}
I left the center of the page for them to add there own embellishments. I choose CTMH Stickease from Aspen Kit. I also used Googly eyes on the snowman head. {November Stamp of the Month... All Decked Out}
The "O" for the snowman head was inspired by Laurel. She is an awesome card maker/scrap booker. I enjoy visiting her blog.
Papers are from CTMH Aspen Paper Kit. Letters {Rustic Alphabet} were stamped on Col. White with Outdoor Denim ink and cut out. I punched a few white snowflakes out for extra embellishments.
Here is the Coaster Calendar we made also. Papers are CTMH Abundance. The calendars i printed from a free download Here.
Anywoo, Sunday was Charlie's day off so we all went bowling. {Not the Wii either} We needed some family time. My high score was 100 {dang bowling ball} and no one else did much better than that. We had a good time and that's what's matters! Thanksgiving is coming up and hubby will have a 4 day weekend.
Well my friends that's about all i have for now. I'm on Facebook and love it their. If you would like to be my friend send me an invite. :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Friendship

Hey, Can I get a witness?
Have you ever put something away and you forgot where you put it. That would be this Clear Overlay by
Clear Expressions. I bought this overlay about 4 years ago at a going out of business sale. I had it tucked away in a storage draw in my scrap room and guess what, i found it today. {I even found a website that sells them} I was working on a layout for this picture i took of my boys last month. I thought this overlay would be perfect for this 5x7 B/W picture. With a pop of cranberry.

Anywoo, I'm getting my stuff together for the gathering i have Satuday. The worst thing about packing up for a demonstration is forgetting something. Have ya ever done that. Yikes
Well i need to get dinner on the table. Charlie came home early today. Rained out. You all have a great evening and thanks for stopping by.

Brothers

I finally got to play and make a page. This is {revised} I added the Designer Ribbon and the Brads. It looked pretty bare. It being a boy page i wasn't sure about adding the bling. But I'm confident this looks a lot better.
All CTMH products except Cuttlebug Boarder Folder and i sanded CS to show white core.
The "FALL" flap opens down for hidden journaling inside. I also sponged Garden Green Ink on the Dimensional Elements Letters and added Create A Shade. It's a pale green up close & personal. :) Looks silver on this post. Yikes
Papers are from Abundance Paper Kit. I believe these are retiring. I love these papers. We can only hope that CTMH will come out with something better. They usually do.
Anyway all is well here. My boys have off school 3 days this week. Conferences. Plus i have my 2 granddaughters. I need a break. My CTMH gathering is Saturday.
Have you Voted? I won't get into the Election Results. I'll just say it didn't go the way i hoped it would.
Hope you all are doing well. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your Thursday!

It's Monday

Oh where does the time go. This weekend went by so fast. Saturday we just got stuff done at the house. Getting ready for winter. Charlie needed to clean out the garage so i can get my van in their. But that didn't happen just yet. Only so many hours in a day. Boxes of siding have to be re stacked.

We as a family are attending a new Church after 13 years at our previous. It's always hard to break ties. But i believe we made the right decision. Feelings of just being stuck in one place, and not able to grow caused an uneasiness in my heart. I have shared my feeling with my husband and a few close friends... {Thanks for listening Kisha!! } We are attending "Christ The Rock" We love it there. While we were just visiting week after week my boys begged Charlie to go back. {can we go again dad?} {Christ The Rock Mother Church is in Appleton Wi about 70 miles from here}
Sunday, instead of having Church we met together and set out to rake total strangers yards of there leaves. Our Pastor did this last year as a Church Outreach to the Community. Jesus gave/loved/served, so can we. We went to a trailer court and raked about 20 lawns. People were in awe when Pastor asked them if we could rake there lawn. {are you kidding?} After about 2 hours of raking we all went back to church for a nice luncheon. Tacos on deep fried Indian bread. yumm! Because the Church is new in town {2 years} and we don't have a Church building yet. We are renting an empty Pizza Safari Restaurant. It's huge, lots of room.

Like i said previously i have been working on some projects for my upcoming gathering i have on Saturday. I would love to post them but i don't want my hostesses to see them. They visit my blog.
Tomorrow Charlie is taking the day off. I get my grand daughters again. My boys have a 1/2 day of school. Sam & i have an ortho apt. at 3:00. Busy day.
Well i better get busy. I wanted to update and let ya know I'm still here. Thank you to my new subscribers & followers and just those of you that stop by to see what I'm up too. I love ya!!
